Jadi, semua anggota diminta melayani. Ada yang membersihkan toilet, merawat taman, mengurus administrasi, dan lain-lain. Kekurangan dana itu ternyata membawa berkat besar. Ketika semua terlibat dalam pelayanan, mereka merasa diri berarti. Juga tumbuh persekutuan yang akrab dan penuh sukacita. “Gereja dirancang sebagai organisasi relawan. Kuasa gereja muncul ketika setiap orang memberikan bakat mereka,” ungkap Hybels dalam bukunya The Volunteer Revolution. Seruan untuk saling melayani telah didengungkan Rasul Petrus sejak ribuan tahun lalu. Jika setiap anggota saling melayani, bukan hanya gedung gereja yang terawat rapi. Pelayanan yang tulus itu akan menumbuhkan kasih (ayat 8). Pada dasarnya, melayani bukanlah sekadar mengikuti aktivitas gerejawi,
